I saw these at the store and their skin color begged to be painted.

"Pyramid" - SOLD

I was at the grocery store and fell in love with the deep red on these beets, and had to paint them. But, when I brought them home and set them up they kept drying and turning a redish, brown color. So, every few minuets I had to sprayed them with a bottle to maintain their initial color.

"Black Top" - SOLD

I really like when I get just the right amount of paint on the canvas, where the brush starts to slip just a little. Thats when some interesting marks start to form. My problem is that I keep going (cause I am having so much fun) and cover up some of those marks. I have two thoughts at the same time: 1.'Oh I like that', and 2. 'That was fun, I wanna do that again'. Sometimes, Unfortunately, I listen to the second thought. But, I am happy with how this turned out.

"Blue Streak" - SOLD

I love any time I can get color to bounce off of another surface, like the apple in the teapot. Most everything will influence the surrounding, and I have always been interested in how light and color will bounce around. Even dull surfaces will absorb color. Take a red and green apple and place them on a white cloth, that cloth will have some red below the red apple, and green below the green. Its just a cool phenomenon.

"Kiwi" - SOLD

It is interesting how you can get familiar with certain object. But, painting kiwi for my first time was a little harder than I expected.

Tired, tired, tired.

"Doughnut" - SOLD

I never seem to get too caught up in subject matter, or composition with daily paintings. Which is nice. Larger paintings tend to be fussed over... 'Where should I place this or that?'. I tend to move these daily ones until something small catches my eye, and paint it, realizing that tomorrow I can do something completely different. This one is certainly simple, but I really wanted to see how it would look with a bunch of space above the doughnut. And, tomorrow I may try something different.

"Plumb Line" - SOLD

I couldn't get a great shot of this...The one on the right has a bit more color than my camera wants to catch, but that is usually how it goes. I never seem to be able to completely transfer what is on my canvas to what is on my computer screen. But I think, hope, this is close enough.

"Rounding the Corner" - SOLD

Have you heard of Goop? Well, I'm sure many of you have, but after you are done painting you can condition your bristles with said product. I just get a little on each brush and the next day they are still nice and soft. It's fantastic. I actually learned the trick from Doug Braithwaite.

So, this got me thinking....what do you use?

"Yellow Line" - SOLD

I have a new schedule starting today, and will be able to paint during the day, instead of at night. I think I will be able to paint with more frequency.
